Remaining Four Playoff Spots Awarded to Runners-Up
The NHL has released the final standings for the 2023-24 regular season, determining the 16 teams that have qualified for the playoffs. The top four teams in each conference (Eastern and Western) earned automatic playoff berths based on their regular season records.
The remaining four playoff spots were awarded to the two highest-ranked teams in each conference that did not finish in the top four. These teams will participate in the Wild Card Round to determine the final two playoff teams.
